Artwork requirements for:

Metal tags (see prices)

Colors
Metal tags can have full color logos, text, and even a photograph if you wish. We can closely match PMS colors, but it may not be a perfect match due to the process involved in transferring the ink to the metal.

Acceptable File Formats (in order of preference)
Your graphics file should be 300 DPI resolution or higher .CDR (Corel Draw), .EPS (Encapsulated Post Script), .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .PSD (Adobe Photoshop), .TIF (Tag Image File Format), .PDF (Portable DocumentFormat), .JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)

PC Compatible
All files must be PC compatible. If you are using a Macintosh, please be sure the file you are sending is cross-platform compatible to avoid delays in your order. (All of the files listed above should work between platforms without problem)

Graphic Setup Fees
If you send us any other file types or low resolution files, we will notify you that the quality of your tags may suffer because of the low quality artwork. If you cannot supply us with higher quality artwork, we can produce a high-quality graphic for you for the cost of $35, or for a total cost of $50 we will also send you a disc with your logo saved in several different high-resolution formats for later use.

Faxing Logos
We do NOT accept faxed logos. Faxed logos are not of adequate resolution for graphic design. FYI: If you use your logo on any letterhead, signage or business cards, whoever printed these for you will have your logo in the file type that we need. They should be able to email it to you.

Web Site Graphics
Logos taken from web sites are not of adequate resolution for graphic design. In most cases, they are saved at a resolution of 72dpi, which is fine for viewing on-screen, but will result in grainy, pixelated graphics when printed.

Plastic Engraved Tags (see prices)

Logos
Logos that will be used on plastic name tags must be sent to us as black and white line art.

Vector vs. Bitmap
It is even more important that your artwork be in vector format for the engraved plastic name tags than the metal tags. If you send us vector art (.CDR, .EPS, .AI, etc) your logo will be smoothly engraved into the plastic and yield great results. However, if you send us a bitmap image (.PSD, .TIF, .JPG) the difference in quality will be much more noticeable than on the metal tags. So please, if possible send us vector based artwork when you would like a logo engraved on a plastic name tag.

Acceptable File Formats (in order of preference)
Your graphics file should be 300 DPI resolution or higher .CDR (Corel Draw), .EPS (Encapsulated Post Script), .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .FH10 (Macromedia Freehand), .PSD (Adobe Photoshop), .TIF (Tag Image File Format), .PDF (Portable DocumentFormat), .JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)
